Auchterarder, close to Gleneagles, is a typical Perthshire town and has hotels, shops, a supermarket, restaurants, pubs and sports facilities. Tea or dinner at the Gleneagles Hotel is highly recommended.
Recreation & Facilities
The Gleneagles golf courses, restaurants and facilities are available to non-residents (though the country club is not). There are many other excellent golf courses – such as Auchterarder, Crieff, Whitemoss and Muckhart – within a short distance, together with a raft of opportunities for fishing, shooting, tennis and bowls.
